Bill worked in sales and was quick to take on new assignments and products. A new professional opportunity took Bill and Mary Kay to Indianapolis where the first of their two children was born, Rebecca (Becky) E. Kirry (Maynor) (9/21/1960-11/24/2014). Moving again before Becky was two landed the young couple in Cincinnati for the first of their two life segments there. Their second child, William Thomas (Tom) Maynor, was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 11, 1963. The young couple worked well as a team with Mary Kay making a wonderful home and Bill traveling as a sales representative to support his young family. The winds changed again in 1966 when Bill was promoted and they were off to Toledo, OH. As was their habit, Bill and Mary Kay made fast and lifelong friends wherever they landed. The time in Toledo was short and in 1969 the family moved back to Cincinnati where they would thrive. Up to this point Bill had represented manufacturers of storm windows and doors, hardware fasteners and anchors, and toothpaste.

It wasn’t until he met a neighbor down the street and he considered representing lines of women’s clothing that he hit his stride in sales and flourished. It was also at this time that he met a man in the fishing tackle aisle of Service Merchandise who would become one of his best friends in life, Jim Wells. As was his social nature, Bill wanted to fish, but needed people to fish with. So he started the Springdale Bassmasters. Meeting in the family basement, when there wasn’t a clothing sample sale going on, the group gave him friends with similar interests to fish with. Not lost on the opportunity, Bill’s son Tom would remember many calls to “Rise and Shine” well before a summer dawn and travel to lakes in the tri-state area to hit the water as the sun rose.

A devoted and loving husband and father, Bill worked alongside Mary Kay in the PTA, where he served as president, and on levy campaigns to fund the Princeton City Schools. Later Bill was a member on the Princeton Music Boosters, and after Becky and Tom had graduated he was elected to the Princeton City Schools Board of Education where he proudly served to help direct and ensure the offering of first class public education to students in the district.
In later years, Bill continued his sales career with Honeywell and Fischer Homes, winning many sales awards.
In retirement he continued to work for local schools to fund public education, enjoyed time with his grandchildren and remained active as a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite.

Bill He leaves behind his son Tom, daughter-in-law Lauren Maynor, grandchildren Maddie, Dylan and Cameron, son-in-law Tim Kirry, grandson Adam and many cousins.
