Ivana Trump was born in Zlin, Czechoslovakia, where she was a competitive skier as a member of the Czech junior national ski team. Briefly married to an Austrian ski instructor, she moved to Canada, where she worked as a ski instructor and a model. She modeled for Eaton’s Department Store and did promotional work for the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. She met Donald Trump while modeling at an event in New York City, and the pair married in 1977.

The Trumps became a New York City power couple and were a favorite of the tabloid newspapers. Ivana worked closely with Donald Trump to expand his real estate business. She was an integral figure in the development of Trump Tower in New York City and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

The couple had three children during their marriage, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump. Donald and Ivana had a very public divorce which eventually ended with a confidential settlement in 1992.

Following her marriage, Ivana developed a line of clothing, beauty products, and jewelry which were sold on the Home Shopping Network.

She married and divorced twice and wrote several books including a self-help book titled “The Best Is Yet to Come: Coping with Divorce and Enjoying Life Again” and an autobiography in 2017 titled “Raising Trump.”

1929 – 2016 Robert Kenneth Jones, who is referred to as Bob Jones, of Stratton Mountain Vermont, passed away Saturday evening, October 22, 2016, suddenly of an apparent heart attack in his home. Bob was 87 years young. He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce, married 62 years, his children Gail Koehn, Ian Jones, Timothy Jones as well as seven grandchildren. Bob was born in Ottawa Canada on September 5th 1929 to Willie and Francis Jones (Maiden Allum) of Welsh and English heritage respectively. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Queens University in Kingston Ontario in 1952. He later attended Harvard University where he received a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1955. As a civil engineer and businessman, he primarily worked on land development. In 1975, Bob and Joyce purchased their home at Stratton Mountain, where they became full time Vermonters in 1999. Bob was an avid skier since his teenage years and skied, hiked and biked on Stratton Mountain up to the time of his death. He was well recognized and respected during his daily walks through Stratton village. Bob traveled extensively throughout the world with his wife, Joyce, as they visited every continent on the globe including Antarctica. He was also an avid birdwatcher and photographer, and has captured many images of the birds, flowers and landscapes of Vermont. Bob and his wife have been very active in the Stratton community, with Bob serving on several local boards. They felt it important to generously invest in their community and Bob’s time, talents and humor will be greatly missed by his family friends and colleagues.
