Philadelphia-Ronald J Smith passed away on November 17, 2022 at the age of 79. He is the beloved husband of the late Grace H. “Pinkie”. Devoted father of Kathleen Bradley (John), Owen “Eddie” Meehan (Billie Jo), Lawrence Meehan (Eileen), Gwen Jurgelewicz (Jim), Jackie McKenna, Ruth Gleason (Glenn), Connie Spross (Bill), John “Jay” Smith, and Tara Lynch (Chris). Dear brother of Karen Mammarella (late John) and Barbara McDonough (late Paul). Sadly missed by his 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter Courtley McKenna. 

Ronald was born and raised in Philadelphia and remained there throughout his life. He graduated from Father Judge High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.

He later worked for the Philadelphia Parking Authority for many years until his retirement. Ronald will be remembered as a simple man who loved his Philadelphia sports teams (especially the Eagles and Phillies), bowling, and Pepsi. More than anything, he loved his family.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him but they take comfort that he is being reunited in heaven with those who have gone before him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 8:30-10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral mass 10:30am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125.

Ronald’s committal services will take place the following day, Wednesday November 23, 2022 promptly at 9:30am in Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. A funeral procession will form in front of the funeral home at 8:15am for those wishing to follow.

Philadelphia, Pa – Stephen Paul Abbonizio, 33, of Philadelphia, passed away on January 16, 2020. He was born March 11, 1986 in Chester, Pa. as the son of Stephen Abbonizio and Kimberley Herrman (Crane).

Stephen was a Graduate of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

He is survived by Parents Kimberley M. Herrman (Crane) and Stephen V. Abbonizio, loving sister, Alyssa Abbonizio, grandparents, Paul W. Crane, Esther F. Abbonizio (Deleo), Stephen T. Abbonizio. Uncle Paul (Joanna), Uncle Stephen (Anna) Lovely Aunt Jennifer (Brian), Uncle Michael, Aunt Debby (Tom). and loving cousins and many beautiful friends.

Stephen was pre-deceased by our loving angel, Sally A. Crane (Bushy).

He was the Senior VP of Business Development in Synergetic, and his hobbies included Muay Thai, Billiards, Jiu-Jitsu, Sports, Skateboarding, Cooking, Reading, and Dancing.

Funeral service took place at The Fillmore, 29 East Allen Street, Philadelphia, PA.
