Jamaica, Vt – Robert E Sanderson, 67, died after a prolonged illness Wednesday morning, June 19, 2019 at home.
He was born to Frederick E. and Noma G. (Perry) Sanderson in Townshend, VT on July 20, 1951. He was educated in both Newfane Elementary and graduated from Leland & Gray Seminary in Townshend. Bob was a heavy equipment operator for Cersosimo Industries in Brattleboro, Vt for over 45 years. During his early 20’s he was a member of the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics.
Bob married Sophia Eaton on September 16, 1972 in Newfane Vt.
Bob leaves his wife of Jamaica, his son Brud Sanderson of W. Townshend and two daughters, Kera Jones of Swanzey, NH and Loni Austin of Belchertown, Mass. One sister Rebecca McKenny of Brattleboro, Vt and two brothers, Curtis Sanderson of Bridgewater, Vt, Ron Sanderson of Townshend, Vt and 5 grandchildren Clayton, Jairen and Raena Sanderson, Savannah Westcott and Bailey Austin.
He was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Elizabeth Putnam and Dorothy Hilton.
