Great Falls, MT — Melvin Jack Munsinger, 78, of Great Falls, Montana passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dodson, MT.

Jack was born on May 12, 1940 in Glenrock, WY to Edwin and Gladys (Kothe) Munsinger. He was raised in South Malta, MT, where he met the love of his life, Sharon Kirkaldie Stone. The two were married on September 23, 1960. The couple moved to Dodson in 1963 and raised a family until moving to Great Falls in 2016. During Their 58 years together, Jack worked as a road maintenance operator for 23 years, raised cattle, ranched, and served for 33 years in the Montana National Guard. He also found time to be 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Jack enjoyed fishing every chance he had, bringing along the kids and grandchildren. He also loved to play card games, enjoying them much more if he won. He could often be found working on machinery, watching old western movies or reading Louis Lamour books.

Jack was so proud of his four children, and all that they accomplished. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone, and always did.

Melvin Jack Munsinger leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon Munsinger of Great Falls; son, Robert Munsinger of Great Falls; daughters, Annette Henderson of San Antonio, TX, Anneleise Hayes of San Antonio, TX, and Misti Payne of Wolf Point, MT; son in laws, Donnie and Jason; daughter in law, Helen; sister, Alice Kimball of Glenrock, WY and six grandchildren in addition to 2 great-grandchildren.
