Brandenton FL – Joanne C Johnson, 87, of Bradenton, Florida passed away from natural causes on October 31, 2020. She was born on December 17, 1932 in Tuscarawas, Ohio as the daughter of John C. Minor and Nellie M. Minor.
Joanne attended Tuscarawas/Warwick school for 12 years and graduated in 1951, and stayed in contact with her best friend Bonnie Schumacher for all her years.
She was married in Ohio in 1951, and was with her one husband, William D Johnson, from 1951 till his death in 2007. She is back with him now in Heaven.
Joanne raised three children, retired from K-Mart in 2000 and from Beall’s Outlet Stores in 2019. When she was young she loved to Square Dance and paint. As time went on she still loved to dance and build puzzles.
Joanne C Johnson is survived by her daughter Debra Fakoor of Bradenton, Florida; Son Mark Johnson of Florida; Grand Son Michael Wallace of Bradenton, Florida; and 2 Grand Daughters Monica and Marissa Johnson of Rhode Island. A special thanks to Michael Wallace and Debra Fakoor. They both cared for her for the last year of her life.
